New Doctor

We went last Friday, November 21, to try a new doctor. We got some good recommendations and found a doctor closer to home. They deliver at Northside Cherokee, which is about 5-10 minutes from our house as opposed to the other doctor which delivered at Kennestone, a hospital about 30 minutes away. Rachael really liked the staff and the doctor at the new office so that was a good sign. We had some issues with the level of service with the old doctor so we were both really pleased with the helpfulness and the attitude of everyone at the new office. Our next appointment is on December 11 where they do the "anatomy scan". It sounds like they check the baby out and make sure everything is developing normally. Oh, and they should be able to identify the sex of the baby so we're EXTREMELY excited about that. And eventually, I'll get the rest of the first set of ultrasound pictures scanned in and uploaded.

Changing Drs

So, due to a lack of satisfaction with the current doctor Im going to(reasons probably explained to you individually, but if not send a note and I'll explain), Im pretty sure that I am switching doctors and in the process I figured why not switch the hospital we are delivering at because it would be so much more convenient to deliver at the hospital right down the road instead of the one an hour away, plus then my doctor would be closer as well

My plan is to talk to Malia Hodges on Wednesday and see how she liked her doctor and if she liked them, then Ill schedule an appointment with them and then Matt and I will go on a tour of the hospital to see if we like it

Matt Hears the Heartbeat

So last friday, the 24th, I was able to go to Rachael's appointment with her. It was pretty quick. No ultrasound but we did get to hear the heartbeat. I hadn't gotten to hear it yet, so that was pretty cool. The doctor said everyone is doing fine and we'll be going back in about 4 weeks again. We also went and registered at Babies R Us, since its so hard for us to both find time to go down to the store to sign up. We both felt a little overwhemed by how much stuff there is there but we've still got some time to sort it all out.

Up and Running

So we finally got the website up and running. After a lot of time (and some nagging) I finally got around to creating this site so that family and friends can track our progress through this exciting phase in our life together. Check back periodically for updates.
